![]() My interest in photography started at an early age but was intensified after I witnessed the results of the Boxing Day tsunami that crippled Sri Lanka in 2004. In a bid to raise awareness of the Sri Lankan’s plight, it drove me to express through images the total devastation many of these people suffered. It was on a return visit to Sri Lanka in 2005, that my adventurous nature led me to explore parts of the Middle East. I became fascinated with the culture and landscape of the UAE and Oman, and on returning to Dubai for three consecutive years, I was able to photograph the New Zealand team competing in the Rugby Sevens tournament. The vastly contrasting landscape and culture between Oman and New Zealand inspired me to host three solo exhibitions in 2009 whereby showcasing both countries to both cultures. |
